To insert a torsion spring - front view:

  1. Click the Torsion Spring - Front View tool from the Machine Components tool set.

  2. Click to place the object in the drawing, and click again to set the rotation.

The first time you use the tool in a file, a properties dialog box opens. Set the default properties, and click OK. The properties can be edited from the Object Info palette.

In the Object Info palette, set the torsion spring properties (Outside Diameter, Wire Diameter, Number of Active Coils, and Spiral), and then set the properties for each end of the spring.

Click to show/hide the parameters.
