To insert a shaft break:
Click the Shaft Break tool from the Detailing tool set.
Click to define the start point, click again to define the end point and rotation, and drag the cursor and click to set the width.
The first time you use the tool in a file, a properties dialog box opens. Set the default properties, and click OK. The properties can be edited from the Object Info palette.
Click to show/hide the parameters.
