Angle Between Two Reference Lines

To dimension an angle between two references lines:

  1. Click the Angular Dimension tool from the appropriate tool set/palette, and select the Reference Lines mode.

  2.     All workspaces: Dims/Notes tool set

        Spotlight and Landmark workspaces: Basic tool palette

  3. From the Tool bar, select a Dim Std (dimension standard).

  4. Click to set the start of the first reference line.

  5. A reference preview line displays.

  6. Click again to set the end of the first reference line.

  7. A second reference line preview displays.

  8. Click a third time to set the end of the second reference line.

  9. An angular dimension preview displays.

    To select a different angle—for example, spanning the opposite direction—move the cursor until the preview displays the desired angle.

  10. When the preview displays the desired angle, click again to define the angle of the dimension.
