Creating 3D Plant Geometry from an Image

When generating plant geometry from another symbol, the 3D representation may not be available, or not suitable for the new plant. 3D geometry can be automatically generated, creating a suitable representation of the plant definition in 3D views.

To generate 3D plant geometry:

1. Click the Plant tool from the Site Planning tool set.

2. Click Preferences from the Tool bar.

The Plant Tool Preferences dialog box opens.

3. Click Edit Plant Definition.

The Edit Plant Definition dialog box opens.

4. Click Create from Image.

The Create From Image dialog box opens.

5. Click the image selector box. From the Resource Selector, double-click an image resource to activate it. Then specify the diameter and/or height of the image for use as a plant geometry image.

6. Click OK.
