Opening an Associated File

Once a Vectorworks drawing has been sent to AutoTURN Online, it is linked to the version saved on the AutoTURN Online servers.

To open the AutoTURN Online version of the current Vectorworks file:

  1. If you are not logged in to AutoTURN Online, start by Logging In to AutoTURN Online.

  2. Open the Vectorworks file.

  3. Select the command.

The associated drawing opens in the AutoTURN Online browser.

If the drawing is not immediately found on the AutoTURN Online servers, click to open the AutoTURN Online website in your default browser, or navigate to the AutoTURN Online website from your browser. Ensure that you are properly logged in. Your list of saved projects is available from the AutoTURN Online website; from the AutoTURN drawings window, select one from the list of drawings saved on AutoTURN Online.

Opening Any AutoTURN Online Drawing

Any drawing that you have saved on AutoTURN Online can be opened in the browser window. This is a convenient way of obtaining a swept path analysis and downloading it to a new, blank Vectorworks file. The files then become associated.

To open any AutoTURN Online drawing:

  1. If you are not logged in to AutoTURN Online, start by Logging In to AutoTURN Online.

  2. Open a file in Vectorworks that is not associated with an AutoTURN Online drawing, such as a new file.

  3. Select the command.

  4. The Open AutoTURN Online Drawing dialog box opens.

  5. Do one of the following:

        Select a drawing from the list. The drawing opens in the browser window.

        Click Open in External Browser. The AutoTURN Online website opens in your default browser. Log in to AutoTURN Online; a default drawing opens. From the menu on the top left of the site, click Close to close the default drawing and access the list of saved drawings from the AutoTURN Saved Drawings page and select a drawing.

Drawings that have been uploaded or created are associated with your AutoTURN Online account, and they are saved on the AutoTURN Online servers. From the web site, drawings can be opened, renamed, duplicated, or deleted.

To manage AutoTURN Online drawings:

  1. Select the command.

  2. The AutoTURN Online website opens in your default browser. Log in to AutoTURN Online if needed.

  3. The AutoTURN Drawings page opens.

  4. The drawings associated with your account are listed by name. Sort by name (ascending or descending), or by date modified, by clicking in the column header. Enter search keywords in Search to list only drawings that meet the search criteria.

  5. Click an icon to select an action from the Action column: open, rename, copy, or remove.
