Deleting and/or Replacing Roof Styles from the Resource Browser

When a roof style is deleted, all instances of the style in the current document can be deleted completely or replaced with another existing roof style. Multiple roof styles can be selected and deleted or replaced at the same time.

To delete a roof style:

1. In the Resource Browser, select the roof style to delete, and select Delete from the Resources menu.

Alternatively, right-click (Windows) or Ctrl-click (Mac) on a roof style, and select Delete from the context menu, or select the roof style and press the Delete key.

2. If there are any instances of the roof style currently in the drawing, the Delete Roof Style dialog box opens. Otherwise an alert displays to confirm the deletion.

Parameter	Description
Delete Roof Style completely	Deletes all instances of the roof style in the drawing
Delete and replace Roof Style with	Deletes all instances of the roof style in the drawing and replaces them with the roof style selected from the roof style list. This option is available only if the current document and libraries have at least one additional roof style available to replace the style that is being deleted.
Roof style list	Select the roof style for placement. The files and folders available in the current document and in the libraries are listed. Select the desired roof style. See Resource Libraries to install the free content libraries that come with the Vectorworks Design Series. Once installed, the appropriate resources automatically appear in the list.

3. Click Yes.

If Delete Roof Style Completely is selected, the roof style and all instances of the style are deleted. If Delete and replace Roof Style with is selected, the Roof Replacement dialog box opens automatically.

Parameter	Description
Roof style list	The replacement style chosen in the Delete Roof Style dialog box displays automatically; a different style can be selected
Previews	The left preview shows the current roof style, and the right preview shows the replacement roof style selected in the roof style list. Preview roofs are drawn from top to bottom, so the top of the preview indicates the top part of the roof as it will be drawn. The red line indicates the datum component of each roof style; replacement is aligned to the datum.
Replacement options	Select whether to replace the current settings for class designations, texture assignments (Renderworks required for textures), Energos energy analysis data (Vectorworks Architect required), and IFC data with those of the new roof

If roofs with different roof styles were selected for replacement, the current roof preview is blank and components do not display.

4. Click OK to replace the roof style of the selected roof.

If you click Cancel, the previous roof style deletion is also canceled.
