Importing a Revit File

Revit files (.rvt or  .rfa) created in versions 2011 through 2017 can be imported. A Revit entity object is created, containing the graphics from the imported file. If possible, portions of the imported geometry are converted into a corresponding Vectorworks object.

To import a Revit file:

1. Select File > Import > Import Revit.

2. Select the Revit file to import and click Open.

An alert dialog box displays the import progress.

The geometry of a selected Revit entity can be edited by clicking Edit Geometry from the Object Info palette.
