Changing Window Styles from the Object Info Palette

Windows that use an object style set some parameters as fixed for all windows that use the style, while other parameters can be edited for each instance. The window styles applied to existing windows can be replaced or edited from the Object Info palette.

Replacing Window Styles

To replace the window style of a selected window:

  1. Select one or more windows.

  2. From the Object Info palette, select Replace from the Style list.

  3. The Choose a Plug-in Style dialog box opens.

  4. Select the new window style and click OK. The replacement style is applied to all selected windows.

Editing Window Styles

To edit the window style of all windows with the style:

  1. Select a window.

  2. From the Object Info palette, select Edit Style from the Style list.

  3. The Window Style dialog box opens.

  4. Edit the current style, as described in Creating Plug-in Object Styles.

Editing a window style modifies all window instances in the drawing that use that style.

Converting Windows to Unstyled

To convert the window instance to unstyled:

  1. Select one or more windows.

  2. From the Object Info palette, select Convert to Unstyled from the Style list.

The window’s current values are retained, but all parameters are set to By Instance to allow editing.
