Placing a title block border on multiple sheets

The Duplicate on Layers context menu command allows you to duplicate a selected title block border onto any sheets that do not already have a title block border.

To place a title block border on multiple sheets:

1.      Right-click on the title block border to be copied and select Duplicate on Layers from the context menu.

The Select Layers dialog box opens and lists all layers in the file that do not already have a title block border object.

2.      Click in the Select column to place a check mark beside every layer to receive a duplicate of the selected title block border. Click Select/Deselect All if needed to make selection faster.

A copy of the selected title block border is placed on the selected layers. Each layer’s sheet data updates automatically if Use Automatic Drawing Coordination is selected for the duplicated title block border.

Alternatively, firms that use the same title block border style for most sheets can make their standard title block border part of the template used to create the file; see Creating templates.

The Duplicate on Layers command cannot be used to replace existing title block borders; the command only adds a title block border to layers that do not already have one. Existing title block border objects can be manually replaced for individual layers as needed (see Changing plug-in object styles from the Object Info palette).
