Creating snappable geometry from a PDF

Snappable geometry can be created in an imported PDF Page object if the PDF originated from an application that creates vector graphics. Snapping cannot occur if the PDF file is encrypted.

To create snappable geometry in an imported PDF Page object, do one of the following:

Select Snap to Geometry from the Import PDF dialog box when Importing PDF.

Select Snap to Geometry from the Object Info palette of an imported PDF Page object.

The PDF Page may need to be scaled for proper alignment when Drawing with snapping; see Scaling an imported PDF object.
