Repeating the last command

The Repeat [last command] command enables you to use the most recent command. After you use a menu command, Repeat is followed by the command name (for example, Repeat Rotate).

If no commands have been used in the session, this command is named Repeat Last Command and is grayed.

To repeat the last command:

Select the command.

If executing the command typically opens a dialog box, repeating it opens the dialog box with the most recent settings. If there is no associated dialog box, the command is executed immediately.

The Recent Commands command displays a maximum of the ten most recently used commands.

To repeat a recent command:

Select the command.

The command history opens.

Select a command from the command history. The most recently used command is displayed at the top. Commands that cannot be executed with the current selection are grayed.

If executing the command typically opens a dialog box, repeating it opens the dialog box with the most recent settings. If there is no associated dialog box, the command is executed immediately.

Clearing the last command and the command history

The following actions clear the last command and the command history:

Closing Vectorworks

Changing workspaces

Clicking Reset in the Vectorworks Preferences dialog box

The following actions do not clear the last command or the command history:

Creating, opening, or closing a file

Switching to a different file

Excluded commands and menus

The following commands cannot be repeated.
