Vectorworks Spotlight lighting device data (including accessory, power, and position information) can be exported to an external file. The resulting file can then be opened by a spreadsheet or database program, and is compatible with Lightwright 5 and later.
All lighting device and accessory data from the current light plot are exported. Individual lighting devices cannot be selected for export.
To export lighting device data:
Select the command.
The Export Lighting Device Data dialog box opens.

Lighting Device Fields |
Selects the lighting device data to be exported. Double-click an item to select it; a “+” next to the field indicates that it will be exported. To deselect a field, double-click it. |
Select |
Provides additional selection options. All: Selects all lighting device data fields for export. User: Restores the last saved or loaded set of lighting device data fields. None: Deselects all lighting device data fields. |
Settings |
Allows saving and recalling a set of lighting device data fields. Save: Saves the current set of selections; enter a name for the selection set file. Load: Loads a selection set file. |
Export field names as first record |
Retains headers for the field information during export; this option is recommended, as it helps to organize the data in the database or spreadsheet program |
The Unique ID field (UID) is not in the list, but is automatically exported. This field is required to re-import data.
Select the desired parameters.
Specify the export file name and destination.
The selected lighting device data is exported to the file in tab-delimited format. Import the file as tab-delimited into the other program.
