DesignSeries02743.pngUsing saved sets for stair settings

In the Stair Settings dialog box, the 2D Graphics, Construction, Railings, and Graphic Attributes tabs have the option of saving the tab’s current settings so that they can be quickly applied again. Parameter sets are saved and applied for the active tab only, not for the entire stair. The stair minimum/maximum value settings can also be saved as a set.

To use saved sets:

Open the Stair Settings dialog box and select the desired tab.

The top left part of the dialog box offers options for saved settings.

Click to show/hide the parameters.Click to show/hide the parameters.

Settings

Displays the name of the current saved set; to use a different saved set, select it from the list of saved sets available for the object.

For each tab, Vectorworks includes commonly used default sets, in addition to any saved by the user. <Active Settings> refers to the dialog box’s current parameters, which are not saved as a set.

Save

Opens the Save Settings dialog box to name and save the current parameter settings; the saved set is added to the Settings list. To replace the settings saved in an existing user-defined set with the tab’s current settings, click Replace Setting and select the set to change.

Manage

Opens the Manage Saved Sets dialog box, to rename or delete saved sets. Select a name from the list, and then click the appropriate button.

When renaming a set, if the entered name is already assigned to another set, you are prompted to confirm that you want to replace the existing set.
