To change the content of a saved view, use the Redefine command. This changes the saved view settings to match those of the current drawing area view, including the current layer options and class options, the plan rotation, the visibility of layers and classes that are inactive, the active layer and class, and other options.

To redefine a saved view:

From the Navigation palette, select the Saved Views tab.

Select the view to be changed from the list.

From the Utility menu or the view context menu, select Redefine.

The Redefine Saved View dialog box opens. Specify the view options and the visibility parameters.

View Name

Specify the view name

Restore Options

 

View Orientation

Saves the general view parameters (current projection, 3D orientation, plan rotation, and page origin settings) of the active layer; if deselected, the view parameters are not restored

Zoom and Pan

Saves the zoom and pan settings of the active layer; if deselected, the zoom and pan status are not restored.

Page Location

Saves the design layer page location with the view; if deselected, the current page location is not restored. The page location of sheet layers cannot be saved.

Render Mode and Options

Saves the current render mode and render options; if deselected, the render mode and options are not restored

Data Visualization

Saves the currently applied data visualization view; if deselected, the data visualization options are not restored

Layer Visibility

Saves the current layer visibilities; if deselected, the layer visibility settings are not restored

Class Visibility

Saves the current class visibilities; if deselected, the class visibility settings are not restored
