Workflow: Automating database connections
In the Vectorworks Design Suite, the functionality for connecting to a database and then establishing object/record format database linking contains built-in automation features to make the job easier. While it is still necessary to know how to accomplish the steps manually, dynamic updating between the Vectorworks file and the connected database allows record formats to be automatically created from a database table, and database tables to be automatically created from record formats. Connections are automatically established, and remain up to date.
