The Fireplace tool provides access to a variety of standard fireplace configurations available from the Resource Manager, in addition to individual objects created using the tool. The tool can be used to create your own fireplace styles (see Concepto: estilos de objeto de complemento).
To insert a fireplace:
Click the tool and mode.
Do one of the following:
Click Active Def on the Tool bar to select a resource from the Resource Selector.
Click Preferences to open the object properties dialog box and specify the tool’s default parameters.
The parameters can be edited later from the Object Info palette.
Click to show/hide the parameters.Click to show/hide the parameters.

Description |
Style |
Replace, remove, or edit the current style, or create a new plug-in object style for this object. Editing a style changes all instances in the file that use the style. |
Hide Style Parameters |
Hides the parameters that are set by style; these cannot be edited from the dialog box or Object Info palette |
Config |
Select the fireplace configuration |
Unit/Rear Width |
Enter the width of the front and rear faces of the fireplace |
Unit Depth |
Enter the fireplace overall depth |
Opening Width/Height |
Enter the firebox width and height. The width is centered; the height is measured from the firebox floor. |
Unit Height |
Enter the overall fireplace height |
Floor Height |
Enter the height of the firebox floor |
Flue |
Select the position of the flue |
Flue Diameter/Offset |
Enter the flue diameter and offset. The offset positions the center of the flue relative to the back edge (if the flue is set to Top) or the top edge (if the flue is set to Back) of the overall unit. |
Sleeve Height |
Enter the height/length of the flue’s sleeve |
Penthouse Height/Offset |
For two- or three-sided fireplaces, enter the height and offset of the penthouse |
Click on the drawing to place the object, and click again to set the rotation.
Optionally, create a style resource from the object (see Standard plug-in object styles without catalog options).
