The Even Divide command divides lines, arcs, circles, and rectangles into the specified number of subdivisions. You can choose whether or not to retain the original object.
To evenly divide lines, arcs, circles, and rectangles:
Select one or more objects to divide.
Select the command.
The Even Divide dialog box opens.
Click to show/hide the parameters.Click to show/hide the parameters.

Specifies the number of even subdivisions to create from each selected line, circle, or arc (must be greater than 1) |
Number of Divisions for Rectangle |

Number of Divisions in Width |
Specifies the number of even subdivisions to create along the width of each selected rectangle; enter 1 to create rectangles of the same width as the original rectangle |
Number of Divisions in Height |
Specifies the number of even subdivisions to create along the height of each selected rectangle; enter 1 to create rectangles of the same height as the original rectangle |

Retains the original object from which the subdivisions are created |
Leave Selected |
If the original object is retained, select this option to leave both the original object and the newly-created objects selected after the division operation. Deselect this option to leave only the newly-created objects selected after the operation. |
Set the parameters to create new objects that are even subdivisions of the selected object.
