To view a model in Gamer mode:

Click the tool and mode.

Click Preferences to open the Walkthrough Tool Preferences dialog box and specify the parameters.

Description

Gamer Keyboard Mode Mappings

Movement through the model is controlled by the keys listed in the tool preferences. Letter keys can be changed as needed; the alternate keys (in parentheses) cannot be changed.

Move forward: W (up arrow)

Move backward: S (down arrow)

Slide left: A (left arrow)

Slide right: D (right arrow)

Increase elevation: Z (Page Up)

Decrease elevation: C (Page Down)

Increase speed: Q (+, plus sign)

Decrease speed: E (-, minus sign)

In Gamer mode, the mapped functionality overrides any other functionality for these keys.

Gamer Mode Options

 

Speed Increment Factor

Enter a factor between 1.1 and 10 to control the speed of movement while in Gamer mode. The default speed is multiplied or divided by this factor when you use the keys to increase or decrease speed.

Invert Mouse

Inverts the up/down movement when the mouse is moved forward and backward. When deselected, pushing the mouse forward looks up; when selected, pushing the mouse forward looks down.

Hide Floating Databar

If the floating Data bar is enabled, hides the Data bar during the walkthrough; applies to all Walkthrough tool modes

Click the drawing, and then use the keyboard keys to move the viewer. While moving the viewer, move the mouse to change direction.

If the Enable click-drag drawing option is selected on the Edit pane of the Vectorworks preferences, hold the mouse button down while moving the mouse.

The Data bar provides real-time information about the walkthrough.

To return the mouse to its regular functions, click again to display the cursor. While the cursor displays, the mouse movements do not affect the drawing view.
