Selecting a linked object from a data tag
When you select a data tag associated with an object, the object is highlighted. If the object is far away from the tag or is almost invisible (for example, a space object with no pen or fill attributes), it may be difficult to select the object. In this situation, you can use the data tag to select the object.

To select an object linked to a data tag:
Select the data tag.
Do one of the following:
Select the command from the drop-down context menu on the tag.
Right-click the data tag and select the command from the context menu.
The linked object is selected, and the drawing view changes to display the object.
The command won't work if the linked object is in a locked group or is part of a plug-in object.
