Creating or editing custom color palettes
Custom palettes can be created or edited from the Color Palette Manager.
To create or edit a custom palette:
Open the Color Palette Manager as described in Managing color palettes.
Click New to create a new palette, or Edit to make changes to the currently selected palette.
The New Palette or Edit Palette dialog box opens.
Click to show/hide the parameters.Click to show/hide the parameters.

Name |
Specifies a name for a new palette, or edits the name of a custom palette |
Color List |
Lists the colors in the custom palette; click the header to sort by number in the list, color, or color name. To change the order of the colors, click on the # column and drag the selected color up or down in the list. |
Color Grid |
Displays the colors in the custom palette as a grid |
Opens the New Color dialog box, for adding a new color |

Edit |
Opens the Edit Color dialog box, for editing the selected color |
Delete |
Deletes the currently selected color from the custom palette |
Get |
Opens the Pick Color dialog box, for adding one or more colors selected from the available palettes |
Lighten |
Incrementally lightens the selected color |
Darken |
Incrementally darkens the selected color |
Blends two selected colors according to their Red, Green, Blue (RGB) values, to create the specified number of new colors (up to 1000) |

Blends two selected colors according to their Hue, Saturation, and Lightness (HSV) values, to create the specified number of new colors (up to 1000) |

Import |
Imports all the colors from the Active Document palette of another current version Vectorworks file |
The custom palette is listed in the Color Palette Manager. By default, custom palettes are saved in the user folder (see Vectorworks preferences: User Folders pane).
