Changing plug-in object styles from the Object Info palette

Plug-in object styles applied to existing objects can be replaced or edited from the Object Info palette.

Replacing object styles

To replace the style of a selected object:

Select one or more objects.

From the Object Info palette, select Replace from the Style list.

The Choose a Plug-in Style dialog box opens.

Select the new style. For most object types, the replacement style is automatically applied to all selected objects.

Some object types, such as plants, provide a choice whether to replace the style of all selected objects or of all instances in the drawing that use the replaced style; select the appropriate option.

Editing object styles

To edit the style of all objects with the style:

Select an object.

From the Object Info palette, select Edit Style from the Style list.

The <Object> Style dialog box opens.

Edit the current style, as described in Creating plug-in object styles.

Editing a plug-in object style modifies all instances in the drawing that use that style.

Converting objects to unstyled

To convert the instance to unstyled:

Select one or more objects.

From the Object Info palette, select Convert to Unstyled from the Style list.

The object’s current values are retained, but all parameters are set to By Instance to allow editing.
