The Table and Chairs tool provides access to a variety of standard configurations available from the Resource Manager, in addition to individual objects created using the tool. The tool can be used to create your own style resources (see Concept: Plug-in object styles).
To insert a table and chairs:
Click the tool and mode.
Do one of the following:
Click Table and Chairs Style on the Tool bar to select a resource from the Resource Selector.
Click Preferences to open the object properties dialog box and specify the tool’s default parameters.
The parameters can be edited later from the Object Info palette.
Click to show/hide the parameters.Click to show/hide the parameters.

Style |
Replace, remove, or edit the current style, or create a new plug-in object style for this object. Editing a style changes all instances in the file that use the style. |
Hide style parameters |
Hides the parameters that are set by style; these cannot be edited from the dialog box or Object Info palette |
Length/Width/Height |
Enter the table length, width, and height |
Top Thick |
Enter the thickness of the table top |
Skirt Thick |
Enter the thickness of the table skirt underneath the table top |
Skirt OS |
Enter the size of the table skirt offset from the outside edges of the table to the legs |
Shape |
Select the table shape |
Corner Diam |
For Round Rectangle shaped tables, enter the diameter of the corners |
Leg Shape |
Select the table legs shape |
Leg Thick |
For round and square legs, enter the thickness of the table legs |
Leg Offset |
For round and square legs, enter how much to offset the bottom of the legs from where they attach to the table top; only positive numbers are allowed |
Taper Pcent |
For round and square legs, enter how much (in percentage) the legs should taper from top to bottom |
Chair Type |
Select the chair type |
End Chairs/Side Chairs |
Select an even number of chairs from 0-20 for the table ends/sides; chairs are distributed evenly on each end/side |
Chr Space |
Select the distance between the table chairs |
Show 3D |
Displays the table and chairs as 3D views; if deselected, only a planar view of the table and chair shapes display in 3D views |
Table and chair parts |
To control appearance and visibility, select a class from the list of classes present in the drawing, or create a new class. Select <Table and Chairs Class> to place the part attributes in the same class as the table and chairs object. |
Click on the drawing to place the object, and click again to set the rotation.
Optionally, create a style resource from the object (see Standard plug-in object styles without catalog options).
