Double-click editing shortcut

By default, when you double-click certain objects, a dialog box opens to allow you to select which aspect of the object to edit. To improve your workflow, you can skip the dialog box and always edit the same option. For example, you can set the double-click for data tags to always open the Edit Tag Data dialog box, so you can edit the data displayed on the tag.

Several types of objects have this feature, such as symbols, viewports, slabs, 3D solids, Marionette objects, title block borders, graphic legends, and so on.

To set a double-click editing shortcut:

Right-click an object in the drawing and select Edit from the context menu.

The edit dialog box opens.

From the Double Click list, select whether a double-click will open the edit dialog box, or edit one of the other aspects of the object.
