Collaborating with MVR-xchange
Command |
Workspace: Path |
MVR-xchange |
Design Suite: Entertainment Spotlight: Spotlight |
The MVR-xchange protocol streamlines the exchange of MVR (My Virtual Rig) files in network environments, replacing the need for physical USB drives or manual file exchange processes. Connect to an exchange group (an application or group of applications that can exchange data through MVR-xchange), and then share MVR files with any connected applications on the same local network. Receive changes from other exchange groups back into your Vectorworks file.
To collaborate, you will connect to an exchange group with stations. A station is an application that can use MVR-xchange; stations must be connected on the same network. A station can include multiple groups of files or of users who are exchanging files. You can connect to one exchange group at a time.
Consult the documentation about MVR-xchange for other applications, as the process may be different.
Connecting to an exchange group
Once you've joined an exchange group, you can commit and request changes from the available stations that are also part of the same exchange group.
To open the MVR-xchange palette and connect:
Select the command.
The MVR-xchange palette opens. Because it is a web palette, it can remain open while you work in Vectorworks.
