Third-party plug-in security

Vectorworks teams with partners to ensure the plug-ins they develop to run within Vectorworks are safe to use. When you launch a new session of Vectorworks, a check of all third-party plug-ins is automatically completed. Vectorworks reports all plugins that originate from an unknown developer and disables them by default, as they might pose a security risk. You are given the option to manually enable them, but the alert dialog box displays with every new Vectorworks session. If you have plugins from an unknown developer, we recommend that you leave them disabled. Instead, you should contact the source of the plugin; they can request a partnership with Vectorworks so the plug-in can be reviewed and marked as secure.

To manage plug-ins from unknown developers:

Launch Vectorworks.

If plug-ins from unknown developers are present, the Unknown Developer Plug-ins dialog box opens.
