Using Multiple Drawing Views

To use multiple drawing views:

  1. To set all panes to the same class visibilities, layer visibilities, and clip cube, select View > Multiple View Panes > Use Same Visibilities in All Panes. Deselect the command to set visibilities independently in each view pane.

  2. In any drawing view, select View > Multiple View Panes > Enable Multiple View Panes.

  3. Alternatively, click Multiple View Panes on the View Bar or press the shortcut key for the command (m by default).

The drawing area is divided into multiple view panes; the single view when the command is selected becomes the active view.

  4. Edit the drawing in the active view pane; to configure and draw in a different pane, click in the pane or on the pane title flag to make it active.

  5. It is possible to begin a drawing operation in the active pane and conclude it in another pane.

  6. Select the Enable Multiple View Panes command or shortcut, or click Multiple View Panes on the View bar, again to toggle between single and multiple view panes.
