Aligning Spotlight items by increment

The Align by Increment command aligns lighting devices and other light plot objects to the closest specified increment. The selected objects are repositioned by their insertion point (or object center if the object does not have an insertion point).
To align light plot objects by increment:
Select the objects to align.
Select the command; the Align by Increment dialog box opens.
Pressing the Shift key while selecting the command either suppresses or displays the dialog box, depending on the option selected for Shift+click behavior the last time you used the dialog box.
Set the desired options.

Select to align the objects to the closest X or Y axis point on the snap grid, instead of aligning to a specific increment; for more information, see Snapping to the grid |
Shift+click |
Select what happens when you press the Shift key when selecting the Align by Increment command. Align immediately using previous settings: Aligns the objects without showing the dialog box, using the most recent settings. Display this dialog box: Opens the Align by Increment dialog box so you can adjust the settings before aligning the objects. |
