To add a projection to a solid object:
In the desired view, draw a 2D object or NURBS curve on top of a solid object.
The 2D object or NURBS curve must be closed and planar.
Click the tool and mode.
Click the appropriate direction mode, so that the projection direction intersects the solid object (Add Upward, Add Downward, or Add Both Directions).
The projection direction must intersect with the solid object, or no projection is created.
Click on the object to add; the projection direction is indicated by a red arrow. Click on the solid object
The 2D object’s projection is added to the solid object at the point of intersection, creating a generic solid.
