To insert a mother grid manually:
Click the tool and mode.
Click Symbol on the Tool bar to select a truss resource from the Resource Selector.
If you are working in Top/Plan view, enter the Trim Height of the mother grid on the Tool bar.
Click once to set the start point of the truss and place the first hoist, and click again to set the end point of the truss and place the second hoist.
Click to define the connection point on the rigging object where the third hoist will connect.
The first time you use the tool in a file, the Select Hoist dialog box opens to select a hoist symbol. Click the Resource Selector, and double-click a resource to activate it.
The mother grid is inserted in the drawing.
The parameters of the hoist and truss objects can be edited from the Object Info palette.
