Clearing circuit numbers
The Clear Cable Numbers command removes the numbering for all circuits in the layer. If circuits are selected, only those circuits’ numbering is cleared.
To clear circuit numbers:
Select the command. Confirm that the numbers should be cleared.
Numbering layer circuits
The Number Cables command labels any non-labeled circuits in the layer according to the cable numbering system set in the ConnectCAD settings. The rules specified in the numbering system are applied, in order, until one meets the matching criteria in the rule, at which point the cable number is created from that rule.
Normally, the drawing should be checked before numbering circuits to find and resolve any circuit issues, so that the labels at each end of the circuit are up to date.
To number circuits:
Select the command and confirm that you wish to proceed, if the drawing has not been checked.
The Number Cables dialog box opens. At the top of the dialog box, the numbering system selected in the ConnectCAD Settings displays; see Specifying ConnectCAD settings.
