Required server passwords

User names and passwords are required.

Select Control > Set Up Web Access Account and set up the password as described in the Site protection System Menu.

Alternatively, click Reread/Restart Servers from the main Server Administration screen.

Alternatively, access to the RLM browser interface can be controlled from the password file named rlm.pw in the same folder where the rlm executable is located (normally, this is the Vectorworks Site Protection Server folder (Windows) or /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.vectorworks.rlm folder (Mac)).

Password setup in the password file consists of the user name, followed by the password, and then the permitted privilege, separated by colons. If there is more than one permitted privilege, separate each by a comma.

username:password:remove, edit_options

Set up the password file for the users with empty passwords. Individual users will need to change them later in the browser interface. For example:

lauren::shutdown, remove
