Curb insertions, such as drop curbs, can't be a part of a curb style or curb preferences; they can only be inserted into existing curbs, and edited using the Reshape tool on an individual basis. See Editing curbs for more information about the modes available. Insertion symbols can be 2D/3D hybrid symbols, and can contain site modifiers.

Adding insertions

To add an insertion to a curb:

Select a curb.

Click the tool and mode, and click Add submode.

Click Insertion Symbol on the Tool bar to select a resource from the Resource Selector.

Move the cursor over the curb where you need to place the insertion. Guides that slide along the curb path indicate the size and preview the position of the insertion symbol. 

Click to place the insertion in the needed position.

Once placed, insertions can be moved along the curb, removed, or flipped. 

Moving insertions

To move a curb insertion:

Select a curb.

Click the tool and mode, and click Move Along Path submode.

Click the blue handle on the insertion to move, and slide the curb along the path. Guides indicate the size and preview the position of the insertion symbol. 

Click to place the insertion in the needed position.

Deleting insertions

To delete a curb insertion:

Select a curb.

Click the tool and mode, and click Remove submode.

Click the blue handle on the insertion to remove.

Editing insertions

To change the insertion symbol and/or flip its position relative to the curb path:

Select a curb.

Click the tool and mode, and click Edit Dialogs submode.

Click the blue handle on the insertion to edit.

The Edit Insert dialog box opens.

Alternatively, the current insertion symbol can be replaced on the Insertions pane of the Curb Settings dialog box (see Curb preferences: Insertions pane); the other changes available here can't be made from the Insertions pane.
