Work with Onboarding Specialists

With a Vectorworks subscription (or as a benefit of Vectorworks Service Select), our Customer Onboarding Specialists are available to assist new users in your first 90 days. When a new license is purchased, you are automatically enrolled in Vectorworks Onboarding, which grants access to the following:

Specialized learning paths via Vectorworks University Onboarding to help you install, set up, and get started with Vectorworks

An on-demand Core Associate Certification program that teaches foundational skills universal to all industries

Live Sessions with an Onboarding Specialist, who will guide you through pre-recorded presentations and answer any questions 

Ongoing email support from the Onboarding Specialists throughout your onboarding journey

Customer Onboarding Specialists can also help you:

Choose the right Vectorworks University learning path for your role and discipline

Navigate Vectorworks University, documentation, and training resources

Connect with technical support or other Vectorworks teams for further assistance when needed

Using the help system

Use templates and sample projects

Access templates and sample projects from The Home screen to start working in Vectorworks. Templates create new files quickly and consistently, and are set up with basic formatting and structure, while sample projects contain a completed design. The available templates and sample projects depend on which Vectorworks products are installed.

Explore courses on Vectorworks University

In addition to the onboarding learning paths, Vectorworks University contains a wide library of on-demand training options, such as product- and goal-based courses, webinars, tool overviews, task workflows, and more. To access the university within Vectorworks, select Help > Vectorworks University or use the links on The Home screen.

Chat with the AI Assistant

The Vectorworks AI Assistant is available with a Vectorworks subscription (or as a benefit of Vectorworks Service Select), and provides real-time support while you work. Open the AI Assistant by clicking the  icon in the top right of the Title bar (Mac) or Menu bar (Windows), selecting AI Assistant on the Home screen, or selecting Window > Palettes > AI Assistant. Alternatively, to use the AI Assistant in a web browser, click the  icon on the web palette, or navigate to https://assistant.vectorworks.net, sign in, and select the distributor type.
