Countertop

Design Suite, Architect, Spotlight: Furn/Fixtures

Landmark: Building Shell

Use the Countertop tool to create a countertop that can be customized for greater detail and reporting. Features can include backsplashes, inserts, and custom edges, including waterfall edges.

Countertops can be drawn manually using Vertex mode or based on selected cabinet geometry using Marquee mode or Pick mode. Bridge mode creates a countertop that spans open areas between selected cabinets, such as to accommodate appliances or a seating area. Corner cabinets are also taken into account and different depths are supported.

The countertop, backsplash, trim, and edges can have different materials and textures applied, to create a detailed finish. Holes can also be created in the countertop by clipping the surface or by inserting symbols, such as sinks, into the countertop. See Drawing countertops and Editing countertops for additional information. Once countertops have been created, reports can be made for the size, area, and volume, and data visualization can be used to create a cutting plan with edge treatments and holes. See Creating a new data visualization
