Editing countertops
Once a countertop has been created, there are multiple ways to edit it:
Edit parameters from the Object Info palette or the Countertop Settings dialog box.
Edit or reshape the geometry using a variety of tools and modifiers.
Edit individual parts: Edge Treatments, Backsplashes, and Insertions
Countertop properties
Edit the properties of a selected countertop and its parts from the Object Info palette; click Countertop Settings from the Object Info palette, or right-click on a countertop and click Edit from the context menu, then select the part to edit.
All of the countertop parameters are described in Countertop settings.
Editing countertop geometry
Countertops are path-based objects and can be reshaped. Use the Reshape tool to move edges, add vertices, and edit corners. Countertops can also be added to, split, and clipped by both 2D and 3D modifier objects. For example, you could use the Split tool to create a seam, use the Clip tool to create an editable, but unmovable hole, or use the Add Surface command to add additional counter space. This is not a comprehensive list; there are many more tools and techniques in Vectorworks you can use to edit a countertop.
Any edits to the countertop preserve specified overhangs.
