Vision

Welcome to Vision 2020 pre-visualization software for entertainment design and production professionals. Vision allows you to previz the conventional lights, moving lights, video, and other effects that make up a production, simulated in the context of the event venue. Use Vision to program and cue your show, whether you are selling a concept to the client, testing lighting cues, or conforming lighting systems for a new venue. You can previz without being at the venue or having a crew on standby. Experiment with looks and cues, and review the options with clients and artists before the actual load-in.

GDTF support

When importing a .mvr file, a new option to Use Fixture Types from allows you to use GDTF fixtures or Vision fixtures. It is possible to use both fixture types in a scene. The GDTF fixtures can be edited directly from Vision by selecting the Update Fixture Type context command to access the GDTF Fixture Builder online. Editing a fixture by this method updates all instances of that fixture in the scene.

Haze improvements

There are several improvements to haze:

Now you can render high-quality haze at full resolution in real time.

A new procedurally-generated haze texture can be used with both low-quality and high-quality haze. This 4D texture can be configured for scale, movement, and turbulence.

For consistency, Volumetric parameters have been renamed as Haze parameters.
