Vectorworks provides Windows users options for connection to the NVIDIA® Omniverse™ collaboration platform. With the Omniverse Connector tool, you can establish a live session with other Omniverse users or publish a 3D model to the Omniverse Nucleus server to be opened, viewed, and modified by other Omniverse users. You can also export the current model to USD Composer or USD Presenter, to open it on your local machine.
Use of the NVIDIA Omniverse collaborative environment requires an NVIDIA RTX® video card with the latest video drivers, an Omniverse account, an installed Omniverse Nucleus server and account, and an installed version of the USD Composer and/or USD Presenter applications.
As an alternative to using the Omniverse Connector tool to interact with the Omniverse collaborative platform, the Export USD (3D only) command exports 3D models in .usd, .usda, and .usdc file formats (see Exporting USD files). The Import USD (3D only) command imports .usd, .usda, .usdc, and .usdz file formats (see Importing USD files).
